Art Program

Our art program is designed to give students a taste of the main art areas - drawing, painting, sculpture, collage and printmaking in conjunction with basic knowledge of history and theory and on four central ideas - developing creativity, communicating, understanding culture, and making connections. Students will have first hand experience with drawing and painting techniques such as shading, highlighting, color perspective, pattern and value. Students will have access to an array of different tools and supplies including instruction on how to properly use pencil, pen, ink, watercolor and acrylic paint, scratchboard, pastel and charcoal.
